
At the security checkpoints at airports, CT scanners are employed that have been developed especially for this application. Among other factors, they stand out due to their internal diameter of up to two meters. The transmission of image and signal data may be contacting or contactless depending on the requirements. When scanning carry-on baggage, rotating CT slip rings have a decisive advantage – fluids and laptops can be checked extremely reliably without having to be unpacked.
