How did you end up becoming a trainer at SCHLEIFRING?
From September 2015 to January 2019 I did my training as a cutting-machine operator at SCHLEIFRING and then I immediately started work in the mechanical production department as a lathe operator. From 2021 to 2022 I continued my full-time training as a certified master foreman in the field of metalworking and in September 2022 I was given the chance to become a trainer together with my colleague Philipp Hammer.

What makes the work as a trainer at SCHLEIFRING special for you?
The work as a trainer at SCHLEIFRING in the fields of machining and industrial mechanics is especially fulfilling because I have the opportunity to accompany and inspire young people on a daily basis as they start out on their chosen career path. It is exceedingly motivating to see how the trainees develop their know-how and their skills and push themselves beyond their limits. Through the use of modern technology and practice-oriented methods, I am able to optimally prepare them for the requirements of industry. Working directly with the trainees and knowing that I am making a significant contribution to their future careers makes my work unique and meaningful.

What do you consider to be particularly important when interacting with the trainees?
The need to also have some fun while working and while learning should not be neglected.

What do you consider to be special at SCHLEIFRING?
Working independently, having opportunities for personal development, communicating between equals at all times, short chains of command, and, in addition, the varied work.

How do you imagine your future?
My personal goal is to work in a company in which I can develop my long-term career. My goal as a trainer is to continue fostering talented young people and to accompany them on their journey to becoming highly qualified specialists. I am looking forward to using innovative technologies and modern training methods in order to optimally prepare our trainees for the challenges they will face in a constantly changing and adapting industry.
