The transmission of power, signals and data between a rotating and a stationary plane is required in all areas of industrial design. Fixed connections via cables can only be applied for systems with a limited angle of rotation. For continuous rotation of 360° slip rings or rotary joints are required. Besides contacting slip rings for the transfer of low data rates more and more non-contacting rotary joints are used, especially for the transmission of digital data at high bit rates. These systems are based on a worldwide-patented non-contacting transmission technology which at present allows for transmission of data rates from 100 M Bits/s up to >10 GBits/s.

This in combination with a “gold-on-gold” or, for higher power ratings, “silver with silver graphite” contacts make for an extensive portfolio of products.
