Additionally to our comprehensive product range of rotary joints, SCHLEIFRING offers customized Gantry Subsystems. In doing so, SCHLEIFRING offers all from one hand: R&D, design up to manufacturing and quality testing.
Gantry Subsystems may include:
- Contacting power
- Contacting control and signal data
- Non-contacting image data

- Belt drive
- Direct drive (segmented)
Gantry Manufacturing
- Development of Gantry structures in accordance with customer specification
- Procurement of all standardized components
- Including raw aluminum casting
- Development and engineering of all casting and production tools and models
- Machining of structures & raw shafts incl. Encoder shafts
- Management of external bearing integration
- Final assembly of gantry incl. slip ring module, brush block, antenna, motor and other components
- Final inspection of completed Gantry System on an over-size 3D measuring machine
The latest generation gantry system is provided with a state of the art non contacting data transmission systems - also known as GigaCAP® for data rates of up to 10.3 GBit/s per channel (“no limit”, stackable), modular designed contactless power transmission (CPT) system for up to 150 kW and air bearing technology for high speed applications with almost no noise combined with an axial direct drive (also used as axial pre load for the bearing). This particular combination of technologies in one system is exclusively available to our customers.
