Again SCHLEIFRING gives proof of its cutting edge medical technology developments to a broad trade of experienced clientele at this year's RSNA in Chicago.
A few years ago still inconceivable – today state of the art: the "life" scanning of organs. Not too long ago Computer Tomographs were equipped with one slice detectors, resulting in just a very limited view per rotation. The latest generation of CT scanners has 320 slices and covers an area of up to 160 mm. Consequently even at a high beat rate the patient's heart can be monitored without time loss and in a stunning (breathtaking) resolution – like in a standstill mode. These new CT systems allow the complete cardiologic diagnosis in one – 15 minute – examination.
Hardly to imagine that the high digital detector/scanning data rendered during the examination gobbles down the memory capacity of 375 CD ROMS per minute. This innovative progress in High End CT systems, and accordingly the sub-assemblies systems, demand |high rotational speed | low running costs | failsafe | short down time through maintenance service | modular extensibility.
SCHLEIFRING's product range complies with the complete range of specification requirements for medical applications.
